I've used the Yangtze on and off for 20 years. It is located opposite the Merryfellow pub. There is no convenient parking so people usually park on the pavement close to it. The owners are very pleasant and polite. Quite some time ago my partner caught Campylobacter food poisoning here but its current hygiene rating is 4/5. The takeaway doesn't take cards so you'll have to pay with cash. The food quality is average. Good portion sizes.
The Yangtze has been my local for around 10 years and I've never been disappointed. The price is reasonable for some extremely high quality food. Seating is available if you wish to wait and the food is usually made in good time. If your food is handed over in a box just ask and they will happily replace it with a bag. The staff are very friendly and really get to know their regular customers. The Yangtze has a vast menu ranging from traditional Chinese produce to English favorites like Fish & Chips.Well worth a visit whether you are a local or just visiting Charlton Kings.
