Very quiet, so surprised at exceptionally slow service. Food was very disappoiting , the duck was very overcooked, dry and tough. When checked back eventually,we did mention our dissatisfaction but it seemed to be ignored!! We were eventually told that as the duck breasts were so thick they cooked then until the blood stopped running, as we explained 10 mins earlier and they would have been perfect. No attempt was made to pacify us as in free drink/dessert or even money off the bill. All in all a very disappointing night especially as we had heard such good things about the food. Will not be rushing back or recommending sorry .
Literally nothing to mark this down by. Food was perfect, service was great. Can't wait to come back!
A pub is for drinking, we went in and had a drink so it did it's job. Can't get food on a Tuesday lunch time so not great but perhaps it's not the clientele they aim for. Overall it works as a pub but I can't fully judge as I haven't been on a Friday Saturday or Sunday night. Room for improvement as the Royal across the road seems far superior at this current juncture.
