We've eaten lunch and dinner here a few times. Food has been high standard, and there are normally some good ales on tap. Staff are really friendly. The wait time can vary with dinner service, but it's a great place to eat and hang out.
My family and I love The Royal in Charlton Kings. If it's a quick drink with friends or a meal with family, the Royal is a local destination for us that is always a winner. The staff our extremely friendly and their event nights are brilliant fun! In the summer, the garden is a hive of giggles, cheers and drinks. Family and Dog Friendly :)
Once again The Royal didn't disappoint us. Simply one of the best places to eat in the area. Outstanding Food, Service and Great Value. Thank you to everyone for a fantastic Christmas Meal.
A pleasant pub , very good service and great Guinness. The starter and the sweet were really tasty but i chose the Salmon as a main course but was rather bland. Otherwise would of given 5 stars
Food average. Service poor. Lots of young servers about but never looking at their diners. No welcome. Had to wait for drinks, correct cutlery, the bill and to pay which made the whole experience disappointing. The staff are pleasant and courteous but poorly trained and managed. Not sure what has changed as The Royals service and food used to be better. Pity as the interior and atmosphere are pleasant.
